We are now hiring mentors for Fall 2024 

Are you a young adult who values health and wants to give back to the next generation? 

Consider becoming a DiscoverU mentor!

We expect mentors to commit to the following: 

• A minimum of one semester of mentoring

• A 5-7 hour per week commitment: 

  • 4-5 hours mentoring adolescents after school at a local middle school

  • 1-2 hours honing mentoring skills and working on your own health so that you can be the best mentor possible

• Must be available at least two days each week Monday-Thursday from 2:30- 5:30pm.

• Must be available Fridays from 3-4:30pm. 

Mentors earn $15.25/hr.

Are you looking for research experience? 

We are looking for volunteer research assistants to help with the following study activities:

•Collecting accelerometer data

•Collecting survey data

•Collecting focus group data

•Conducting observational fidelity checks

While this is not a paid position, this opportunity can count towards elective credits that apply to a BS in Kinesiology or PAHP.
